SWAGELOK® CALIBRATION AND SWITCHING MODULE

SWAGELOK® CALIBRATION AND SWITCHING MODULE DESIGNED FOR IMPROVED UPTIME, MAINTENANCE

SOLON, Ohio (May 4, 2011)¾Built on a modular platform, the new Swagelok® Calibration and Switching Module (CSM) delivers the ability to select from up to 10 samples and two calibration streams. The highly configurable unit features Swagelok modular platform component (MPC) products and the Swagelok stream selector system (SSV series) for final conditioning of samples before analysis. Users can select the configuration required for a specific system, and each CSM is delivered preassembled for easy integration into existing or new analyzer systems.

Installed directly before a process analyzer, the CSM conditions and selects process streams, or selects a calibration stream for analysis. The standard model accepts up to 10 process and two calibration fluids, either all liquid or all gas. By verifying that the sample is at the appropriate pressure, temperature, flow, and filtration level, the CSM helps protect downstream analyzer equipment for maximum uptime.
The CSM is one of five new Swagelok Pre-Engineered Subsystems, predesigned and preassembled products available with a single ordering number for easier procurement. All subsystems were designed with extensive input from the field.  The CSM features:
·         Color-coded stream identification,
·         Manual calibration option so operators can calibrate at any time,
·         Vented air gap to prevent the hazardous possibility of pneumatic air mixing with system fluid under pressure; and
·         Integrated flow loop design for consistent delivery times across all streams, eliminating any deadlegs or cross-contamination possibilities.
